Our Mission:

The mission of the Young Women’s Choral Projects of San Francisco is to transform the lives of young women through exceptional artistry in choral performance and bring the expressive power of their music to the community, the nation, and the world.

Our Vision:

Through the Young Women's Choral Projects of San Francisco participants of richly diverse socio-ethnic backgrounds will find their voices as singers, artist and women in a nurturing environment that empowers them to artistic and personal excellence. The collaborative experience of high-quality music education and choral performance will foster the development of each individual young woman and teach her important life skills.

We will achieve this vision through:

• creating and sustaining an advanced young women's chorus based in San Francisco
• providing outreach to under-served communities
• performing concerts in the Bay Area
• touring nationally or internationally every year
• commissioning challenging new music for young women's voices
• providing a safe, nurturing environment where young women can explore their full potential as singing artists
• providing need-based scholarships
